The Whole Lamb Asador by Asaparri is a freestanding cooking frame that holds a whole lamb beside an open wood fire, allowing it to roast slowly over radiant heat.

This traditional Argentine method is known as asado a la cruz, or cooking on a cross. Traditionally, the animal is secured and spread across a metal cross beside the fire. This asador uses two opposing grates to hold the meat in a frame for the same style of cooking.

Built for the bigger cook

Designed for whole lambs up to 30 kg, this model combines the cooking frame size of the Asaparri Large with a reinforced base and sturdier construction for larger animals.

The lamb is held spread open, facing the fire. By managing the fire and positioning the asador, you control the heat as the meat slowly develops a browned exterior and rich wood-fire flavour.

A centrepiece for family gatherings, celebrations and long afternoons around the fire—where preparing the meal is part of the occasion.

Care and support

For outdoor use. Allow the asador to cool before cleaning, keep it dry between uses and maintain exposed iron to help prevent rust.

Full product price: NZD $349. Choose a NZD $200 deposit per unit or pay in full now. The deposit is part of the full purchase price, leaving a product balance of NZD $149.

The remaining balance is due once your product has landed in New Zealand and must be paid before pickup or dispatch. Delivery is additional at our standard New Zealand courier rates.

Your deposit allocates a unit to you and is non-refundable for change of mind, except where New Zealand law gives you a right to cancel or receive a refund. If we cannot supply your product, we will refund payments for that product. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under New Zealand consumer law.
